Kate, we are very lucky! The garden alone is worth the holiday rental fees. Close to family and beaches and with our own ruin. We don’t even have to do the gardening…
The garden is fab, but I’m glad it’s not mine- I couldn’t afford the gardener 🙂 It’s a wonderful feature of the house we rent for a week in the summer- imagine our joy when we first opened the gate and saw that!
The wall is just there on its own, in a wooded bit of this incredible garden. It looks like it belonged to a wee church, and must be at least 300 years old

Cake is good!
I can never refuse cake. It’s against the law
What a lovely day! Fab photos!
it was lovely, and there weren’t even any kiddie squabbles 🙂
Bunting and a beautiful ruin: what an idyllic Blogtopian party. Good to see everyone looking so happy.
We try, Mise 🙂
Oh, I REALLY envy you that garden. Now look what you’ve done: you’ve driven me to capitals. What a totally lovely party.

This is the sort of garden I dream of having, Fiona. Here’s to the birthday person. 🙂
The garden is massive, and requires a gardener as well as keen owners. I love enjoying it without the effort 😉
What an all round joyous celebration and to reiterate the others, your garden is gorgeous ;D happy birthday to the person du jour!

This is why I don’t throw parties. I looked at the fourth picture down and thought “bloody hell, look what they did to her house”.
Party animals, indeed 🙂
Parties are always better when the sun co-operates, Fiona… looks like a good day was had! 🙂
It was a lovely day Tom; good weather is always a pleasant surprise 🙂
Looks lovely! Especially love the bunting 🙂 I never miss a birthday celebration – it’s a celebration of surviving another year, after all.
I’m rather partial to bunting myself 🙂
What a lovely garden! Happy birthday to the birthday person!
Looks like a great time. That wall is incredible. How old is that? Is there anything behind it?
